Every landscape painting that I create is an invitation to the viewer to participate in the scene by reflecting on some aspect of life—this could be a challenge someone is going through, a question they might have, a victory that they have experienced or any one of the endless number of emotions and feelings that people encounter while walking through this life. Our fast-paced world often leaves no time for reflection. We become so busy that we loose focus and forget what’s really important. If we can take time to reflect, we can crystallize our thoughts and move our lives forward. The paintings you see have been created to help you with this process and help you achieve your purpose in life.

In my current body of work, I use texture and multiple layers to stimulate the visual and tactile senses. Through various applications, I build layer upon layer—sometimes adding, sometimes taking away. . . oil, acrylic, objects, canvas, paper . . . constructing, destructing, brushing, scraping, sculpting . . . all working together and combining normally contradictory mediums and artistic disciplines into a harmonious visual experience which allows the viewer to capture a moment of reflection.

</rss:item></rdf:RDF>
